Since my last update, I've read two of Dan Brown's books. A few years back, it was Da Vinci Code which got me into reading. I never read for leisure before that. I finished both Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol in about two weeks. I preferred Angels & Demons because it was fast paced. The Lost Symbol developed a little too slowly for my liking, but there was an interesting twist at the end. I also read Les Miserables. Yes, the English version. Je ne parle pas français, malheureusement. (To any French readers, if that didn't make sense, blame Google Translate. Haha. I meant to say - I don't speak French, unfortunately.)
In between completing those books, I flew to Perth for a short break. To make the trip really worth every cent, my friend and I spent every waking moment visiting places. We only stopped to eat when we had to or if there was a recommended place. To keep this entry short, I will not elaborate further on my Perth trip. I will do it in another entry.
After Perth, I went to Singapore for another short break. I had fun in Sentosa Island. The games were fun, but the hot and humid weather, not so. In Perth, we could walk for the whole day and still not feel uncomfortable. In Singapore, it was a different story altogether. It was so humid, my friend and I were constantly complaining about how sweaty and sticky we were.
After Singapore, (yes, there's more! It was like THE best month for me!) I attended a cousin's wedding reception. That was the first time in over a decade that all of my cousins and I were together in the same room!
Soon after was a party with friends in a hotel. We got two rooms and partied the night away. It was SO good! There were many funny moments too, for example, having five false starts to a board game because some of us were a little tipsy and kept making mistakes each round, teasing each other to no end, asking really disturbing questions, etc.
Having briefly mentioned everything, I must say, that was THE BEST THREE WEEKS I've ever had!!!
