How to lose a customer in 30 seconds

I walk into a store with an idea on the colour of lip gloss I want but the salesperson brings out colours which don't look pink to me and insists they are all pink. At this point, I felt like a guy who can't tell the difference between strawberry and magenta. I knew I was better than a guy. I can tell pink when I see pink, but she was telling me that the various shades of brown in her hand were pink.

Despite telling her I only apply slight lip gloss, she paints my lip with lip gloss and tells me the colour looks good. In the end I decided that if I were to buy a lip gloss from that store, I wouldn't be happy with the colour, so I left. All I wanted was some gloss for my lips, but she got too ambitious and maybe wanted me to be a walking model for the brand.

Here's a tip on how to lose customers in 30 seconds. Never listen to your customer and insist you are always right. That, or insist brown is pink.
